Enjoy Healthy Eating AND having a healthy lifestyle

Enjoying a variety of foods from the different food groups is the key
to healthy eating. Try to:

*Eat plenty of plant-based foods including vegetables, fruits
and legumes and grain based foods(Preferably
wholegrain), such as bread, pasta, noodles and rice

*Eat moderate amounts of lean meats, skinless poultry, fish
and reduced fat dairy products

*Replace saturated fat with polyunsaturated and
monounsaturated oils and fats

*Have fish(any type of fresh or canned)at least twice a week

Be Active In Your Daily LIfe

*Start the day with a few minutes of gentle stretches

*If you work sitting down, get up whenever you can
and walk around

*Take the stairs instead of the lift

*If you use public transport get off a stop earlier and
and walk the rest

*Walk-or-cycle instead of taking the car for short
journeys

*Try to go for a walk each day

*Each time you take a walk go a bit further or a
bit faster

GRACIOUS

WE should be gracious . IT simply means to be polite and pleasant in every act we do. Gracious is not only showing care to people of the same status as you are but showing politeness and care for those who are in a lower social positon. THAT is the meaning of gracious. This is a value that we should uphold.

It means to treat everyone politely regardless of their races or religion

(The Light of Truth)

The Emperor's Seed

An emperor in the Far East was growing old and knew it was time to choose His seccessor.
Insted of choosing one of his children, he decided to do something diffrent.

He said,"It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor.I have decided to choose one of you. I am going to give each one of you a seed today, one very special seed. I want you to plant the seed and come back here after one year from today with what you have grown from this seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next emperor!"

One boy named Ling was ther that day, and he, like others, received a seed. He went home and exitedly told his mother the story. She helped him get a pot and planting seed, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully. Everyday he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.

After about three weeks, some of the other youth began to talk about their seeds and the plants they were beginning to grow. Ling kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.Weeks grew into months. Still nothing.

He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone had plants, but he had nothing.Ling didn't say anything to his friends however. He just kept waiting for his seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the youths ofo the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn't going to take an empty pot, but his mother said he must be honest about what happened.

Ling felt sick to his stomach, but knew his mother was right. He took his empty pot to the palace.

When Ling arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other youths. They were beautiful-in all shapes and sizes. Ling put his empty pot on th floor and many of the other kinds laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him and said,"Hey nice try."

When the emperor arrived, he survived th room and greeted the young people.Ling just tried to hide in the back."My what great plants you have grown," said the emperor" Today, on of you will be appointed the next emperor!"

All of a sudden the emperor Ling at the back of the room with hi empty pot. He ordered his guards to bring him to the friend. Ling was terrified."The emperor knows that I am a failure! Maybe he will have me killed!"

When Ling got to the front, the emperor asked his name."My name is Ling," he replied.The emperor looked at him and announced him the new emperor.Everyone was shoked including Ling.

Then the emperor said,"One year ago today, I gave everyone here a seed.I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds which would not grow.All of you ,exept Ling, have brought me plants and flowers.When the rest of you found the seed would not grow, you substituted for the one I gave you.Ling was the only one with courage and honesty to bring to bring me a pot with a seed in it.Therefore he is the one who will be the new emperor."

If you plant forgiveness, you shall reap conciliation

If you plant patience, you shall reap improvements
If you plant faith, you shall reap miracles

But....
If you plant dishonesty,you shall reap distrust
If you plant selfishness, you shall reap lonliness
If you plant pride, you shall reap distruction
If you plant envy, you shall reap trouble
If you plant laziness, you shall reap stagnation
If you plant bitterness, you shall reap isolation
If you plant greed, you shall reap loss
If you plant gossip, you shall reap enemies
If you plant worries, you shall reap wrinkles

If you plant sin, you shall reap guilt

Our opinion of the story :So be careful what you plant now. It shall determine what you you will reap tomorrrow. The seeds you now scatter will make life worse or better-your life or the ones who will come after. Yes, someday, you will enjoy the fruits, or you will pay for the choices you plant today.

By the Pool Side

I talked with the waters of the pool
Asked them by what command by what rule
Are thus encaged yet so calm and cool?

The waters remained calm and clear
And through their ripples far and near
Reflected the sun's golden sphere

One bubbled smiled, said look you here
Are you so blind?Can you not hear?
Laughingly it burst, the vapour so dear
Rushed to the sky like a reindeer
Clouds were forming, thundering with cheer
Rain was pouring, distant and near
Wth a gentle beat upon my ear
Some drops fell in the pool, brave, no fear

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....

The race began....

Honestly:

No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as:

"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"

"They will NEVER make it to the top."

or:

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....

Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher....

The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....

This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out....

That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:

Never listen to other people's tendencies to be

negative or pessimistic.... because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words have.

Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore:

ALWAYS be....

POSITIVE!

And above all:

Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!

Always think:

God and I can do this!

Maimise each indivituall's potential
-seting a goal and working hard
-motivating yourselves and making maximun use of ur ablity
-give the best in everything

Most people walk in and out of your life......but FRIENDS leave footprints in your heart
In two days tomorrow will be yesterday. Today is no special day and I have no particular reason for writing to you... I have no news to tell you.... nor any problems to discuss with you.... or gossip to tell you... It's only one of those happy moments... when I thought of you... and I would like to share these thoughts with you...

To The World You Might Be One Person; But To One Person You Might Be the World. YOU may get shocked by its structure. This shows many people' s hard work and their potential . They have maximised their potential to built this building. THE TOOK years to buid this . They have worked very hard to do it. How about u? aRE you ready to give your best in everything.

This shows a man who maximises his potential and practising to become one of the best swimmers
